Attic Insulation on Anna Maria Island, FL

Island living is great until the afternoon sun bakes your roof and the AC can’t keep up. Homes on Anna Maria Island get full sun, steady salt air and plenty of humidity, and the attic takes the worst of it. REINSULATE is a veteran-owned, fully insured insulation company that brings island attics back up to the depth they need, from the north end of Anna Maria down through Holmes Beach and Bradenton Beach.

Why island attics wear out

Many homes on the island are older cottages or homes that have been added onto over the years. Their attics are often low and tight, with insulation that’s thin, flattened or patchy. Salt air and humidity keep the attic damp, and storms can push rain in through vents and roof edges. Damp insulation goes flat, and flat insulation lets heat right through.

Signs your attic needs attention

• Rooms under the roof stay hot all afternoon
• The AC runs long on sunny days
• You can see the tops of the joists from the hatch
• A musty smell or water stain after a storm
• Signs of rodents in the attic

What we do on the island

• Attic blown-in insulation to top off thin or uneven attics
• Removal and replacement when old insulation is wet, moldy or full of pest mess
• Radiant barrier to turn back roof heat
• Batt and roll for garages and open walls during remodels

Working in tight island attics takes patience. We check depth across the whole attic, not just near the hatch, and keep insulation clear of soffit vents so the attic can still breathe.
